With Halloween over, it officially ’tis the season for Christmas shows. The Rose Kingston Theatre has just announced the cast for its Winter production and let’s just say you will get Ratty if you don’t book your tickets now and won’t be re-Mole-y happy if someone Weasels their way to tickets before you get your paws on them!
In case you couldn’t tell from those puns, The Wind in the Willows will be the Christmas production at the Rose Theatre Kingston this year and booking is now open. Based on the book by Kenneth Grahame, this adaptation by Ciaran McConville brings a whole host of familiar faces to life in a big adventure! From summer-days messing about in boats, to an automobile addiction and an evil invasion from the Wild Woods, join Mole and his friends as they hurtle towards an historic Battle for Toad Hall!
Casting has just been announced for the production which also features a cast of young local actors from the Rose Youth Theatre. Jamie Baughan (Kinky Boots) plays Toad; Joy Brook (Peak Practice) will play Otter, Mrs Badger and Aunty; Badger will be played by Derek Elroy (One Man Two Guvnors); Gary Mitchinson (War Horse) takes on the role of Mole; Emma Pallant (Much Ado About Nothing, Shakespeare’s Globe) takes on the role of Ratty; and Michael Taibi plays Stoat and Timothy (War Horse).
I’ve already Toad you once and I won’t tell you again that booking is now open! For more information visit the Rose Kingston Theatre website.
